What to expect during installation

  • Protection and setup: We lay down floor protection and furniture covers, then stage tools outside when possible to control dust.
  • Removal: We carefully remove old windows/doors and dispose of them unless your contract says otherwise.
  • Prep the opening: We inspect the frame, address minor issues, and discuss anything unexpected (e.g., hidden rot) before proceeding.
  • Install and secure: New units are set, leveled, shimmed, and fastened per manufacturer specs and local code.
  • Insulate and seal: We use low‑expansion foam and high‑quality sealants for a weather‑tight fit.
  • Trim and hardware: Interior/exterior trim as quoted, plus locks, handles, and adjustments.
  • Cleanup and demo: We vacuum, remove debris, and walk you through operation, care, and warranty info.

How We Protect Your Home

We treat your home like it’s our own. Our crews use floor runners, drop cloths, and dust control. We work room‑by‑room to minimize drafts and keep doors closed whenever possible. Minor touch‑ups (like tiny nail holes) may be visible until you paint. If you have special concerns—white carpets, nursery nap times, or sensitive landscaping—tell us in advance and we’ll plan around them.

Access, parking, and safety

  • Parking: Please reserve driveway or curb space close to the entry.
  • Exterior access: We may use ladders or scaffolding; allow a 5–6 ft clearance outside.
  • Power: One standard 120V outlet is helpful for tools.
  • Pets and kids: Keep pets secured and children away from work zones for safety.
  • Weather: Light rain is usually fine. Heavy rain, high winds, or extreme cold may require rescheduling for a quality seal.

After Your Installation

  • Caulk cures in 24–48 hours; avoid painting or washing new caulk until it’s fully cured.
  • New weatherstripping can feel snug at first—it breaks in with use.
  • Save product labels for warranty registration, or we’ll note them for you.
  • Expect a follow‑up from our team to make sure everything’s perfect.
  • See something that doesn’t look right? Call us—we’ll make it right.
